EMCOR UK is delighted to be announced as finalists for the 2021 EMEA Inspiring Workplace Awards in both the Inspiring use of Technology and the Inspiring Innovation categories.

The Inspiring Workplaces Awards provide a platform to recognise great places to work and the roles within them; to shine the spotlight on Inspirers who strive to deliver a better experience for their colleagues and a competitive advantage to their organisation.

Nick Coulstock, Head of HR, EMCOR UK said: “We are thrilled to have been nominated as finalists in two separate categories for the EMEA Inspiring Workplaces Awards 2021.

“Our online Wellbeing and Flexible Benefits portal ‘Flex’ was nominated in the Inspiring use of Technology category. Flex was launched in 2018 but has really come in to its own during lockdown, forming the heart of our employee communications by bringing our workforce and vital information together in the same place.”

In the Inspiring Innovation category, EMCOR UK was nominated for its COVID-19 flowchart. Nick continues: “Early on in the pandemic we recognised that what our managers and employees needed most was clear leadership and instruction from our HR team in terms of the sudden and pressing challenges we were all faced with. Helping employees, line managers and payroll cope with the “new normal” and they demanded immediate and accurate interpretation of rules and regulations around sick pay, holiday pay, shielding, furlough etc. This came in the form of our detailed, but simple to follow, COVID-19 flowchart which explained and interpreted all of the changes Covid-19 was bringing to the world of work. The information had to be definite, direct, assured and interpreted in a way that all our people managers could understand in order to share with their customer and employees.”

EMCOR UK would like to wish its fellow finalist and nominees the best of luck when the winners are announced at the EMEA Inspiring Workplaces Awards, which will be held as a virtual event in July.
