EMCOR UK, at Anglian Water, has been handed a prestigious gold award in recognition of our very high level of health and safety performance, outstanding control of risk and for demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture.
The internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards is the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. The Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
This award takes EMCOR UK’s tally of RoSPA awards to seven this year, including the prestigious Facilities Management (FM) Sector Award for our work at AWE. In the same category, our work at BAE Systems North was commended in recognition of over four years’ consistently excellent and continuously improving health and safety performance.
This is just the latest industry recognition of EMCOR UK’s impressive health and safety record. Earlier this year, we won an International Safety Award with Merit from the British Safety Council for the tenth year in a row. The award recognises EMCOR UK’s continuing commitment to keeping its workers and workplaces healthy every day. In the past decade, we’ve won over sixty British Safety Council and RoSPA awards.
Jonathan Gawthrop, EMCOR UK’s Director of Health Safety and Wellbeing, said: “This latest award recognises our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, customers and supply chain partners. We have worked hard on building a collaborative and deeply ingrained and positive health and safety culture that we believe is second to none. EMCOR UK’s Health and Safety record at Anglian Water is extremely impressive and greatly supports the exceptional safety performance across our entire business”.
