EMCOR Group, Inc. has been named the 2009 World's Most Admired Company in the Engineering and Construction industry by FORTUNE magazine.
FORTUNE's Most Admired list is the definitive report card on corporate reputations. The annual ranking was compiled starting with some 1,400 companies and, after sorting, surveying 689 companies, in 64 industries, from 28 countries.
Over 4,047 executives, directors, and analysts were asked to rate companies in their industry on nine criteria - from investment value to social responsibility. A company's score must rank in the top half of its industry survey.
