NATS selects EMCOR for the long haul with new contract

Tuesday 15th July

EMCOR is delighted to announce that NATS, the UK's leading air traffic management provider, has extended its evergreen framework agreement which is now potentially worth in the region of £80 million.  The move comes after a joint review with NATS to ensure its facilities management strategy meets its wider long term business and strategic objectives.

NATS has relied on EMCOR for the last four years to manage critical systems that support the company's operations.  The new contract has been extended to include direct delivery of their soft services from cleaning to front-of-house duties, enabling NATS to focus on their core business.  EMCOR now operates a total facilities management contract service at NATS' London office and Hampshire HQ, its control centres at Swanwick and Prestwick and its College of Air Traffic Control at Hurn.  In addition, EMCOR was responsible for specialist engineering services during the construction of NATS' new Scottish and oceanic control centre at Prestwick, demonstrating a complete end-to-end capability.

"We are keen to support NATS in all areas of their business and demonstrate the strength of our integrated service offering," said Greig Brown, Managing Director, EMCOR Facilities Services. "This has not been about just delivering services but building a long term partnership.  We have worked closely to adopt a collaborative approach to facilities management and have aligned ourselves to NATS' long term strategy.  The strength of our resources has been invaluable in deploying a team dedicated to achieving high standards in the service they offer."

Commenting on the decision to extend EMCOR's contract, Chris Odam, NATS' Supply Chain Director said: "EMCOR's business driven track record of generating cost and efficiency savings, their reliable and professional site team and commitment to a partnership approach resulted in us wanting to explore their full capabilities.  We are looking forward to embarking on the next phase with EMCOR; exploring new opportunities, developing further synergies and achieving industry best practice."
