EMCOR Flies High with NATS Scooping Two Top Honours
December 19, 2008 - EMCOR Group (UK) has won two awards for its partnership with NATS, the UK’s leading air traffic management provider, at this year’s Premises and Facilities Management (PFM) awards, in the Partners in Facilities Management and Partnering Excellence categories. EMCOR and NATS accepted the awards at a special ceremony, which was held at The Brewery in London and attended by over 600 people from the facilities management sector.
Following a record number of entries into the 15th PFM awards, EMCOR secured the award in the highly competitive Partners in Facilities Management category after demonstrating a strategically aligned and successful partnership with NATS, specifically in the areas of innovation, achievements and best practice. EMCOR and NATS have worked together since 1994 and EMCOR now operates a total facilities management contract, worth in the region of £80 million, following a recent contract extension.
EMCOR’s John Adams, who works on the NATS contract as a Logistics Officer, also picked up the award for Partnering Excellence, which recognises the exceptional efforts of individuals and the value they add from day to day. Aspects that impressed the judging panel included John’s level of commitment, enthusiasm and proactive approach.
The judges praised EMCOR for its partnership with NATS, describing it as “a thoroughly professional operation with excellent working relationships delivering high quality services in a system critical environment. The shared objectives and mutual confidence demonstrated enables the partnership to evolve and develop.”
