EMCOR FACILITIES SERVICES APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

EMCOR Group (UK) plc is pleased to announce and confirm the appointment of Christopher Chater-Poole to Managing Director of EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS), taking effect from 1st January 2006.

Christopher has worked for EFS for more than 15 years, and in this time has held several key positions, including UK Operations Director and has been performing the role of Acting Managing Director since mid 2005.

Initially gaining experience in a multi-disciplined consulting engineering environment, Christopher progressed into property development and facilities management. He joined the then named Drake & Scull Technical Services and became one of the founder developers of the business, creating a high quality customer portfolio for the company. Christopher brings a wealth of FM knowledge and experience to the role, which will support the progressive development aims of EFS.

Commenting on the appointment, Christopher said, `I am delighted to take on this exciting and challenging role and to lead EFS into the future. EFS has grown substantially over recent years and will continue to do so. We are looking forward to further expanding our service offering to the UK FM industry. I am also personally very proud of our client base. We will continually look for ways to more effectively service our clients and hope to further strengthen these relationships in 2006 and beyond.'

Anthony Whale, CEO, EMCOR Group (UK) commented, `Undoubtedly, Christopher is a unique and significant asset to EMCOR. His skills and experience, gained not only at EMCOR, but also through his other roles in the industry have positioned him to clearly drive the business towards both its short and long-term objectives and expand its already prestigious portfolio of clients. I am very pleased to appoint Christopher to this position.'

Christopher will lead over 2,500 employees in five operational business units at locations throughout the UK.

EMCOR has also recently appointed Graham Tracey to the new position of Director for Special Projects within the facilities services business. He will work closely with the EMCOR Group (UK) operating companies – EMCOR Facilities Services, EMCOR Engineering Services, EMCOR Infrastructure & Rail Services and EMCOR Energy Services – on both business development opportunities and other FM integrated projects within the UK and internationally.

Graham has worked for EMCOR in both the FM and engineering industries for more than 40 years, including twelve years working internationally in the Middle East, Far East, Europe, USA, and South Africa where he was responsible for establishing and developing the Drake & Scull FM (SA) business.
