EMCOR UK recognises employee performance excellence at eighth annual awards ceremony

EMCOR UK recognised the outstanding achievements of its employees, who perform facilities management on behalf of the company’s customers, at its recent 8th annual EMCOR UK Excellence Awards ceremony. The event was hosted by EMCOR UK CEO Keith Chanter and Executive Directors Christopher Kehoe and David Parker.
A total of 15 awards were presented at the eighth annual EMCOR UK awards ceremony recognising employee performance excellence. The “Team of the Year” award went to the employees working at NATS, EMCOR UK’s longstanding customer that provides air traffic control services. This team (pictured here) was instrumental in supporting the NATS team during an incident last year which included handling media calls to reception, and organising and facilitating senior NATS management meetings at short notice.
A total of 15 awards were presented during the evening, covering a range of categories. Awards presented included: “Best Team”, “Innovation and New Ideas”, “Green Award for Reducing Energy and Waste”, and “Making Customers’ Lives Easier”.
The award for “Team of the Year” went to the team working at NATS, EMCOR UK’s longstanding customer that provides air traffic control services. The EMCOR UK team were instrumental in supporting the NATS team during an incident last year which, amongst others, included handling media calls to reception, and organising and facilitating senior NATS management meetings at short notice. Winner of the “Green Award”, Frank Stanley, Building Operations Manager, was recognised for helping NATS meet and exceed its energy targets by reducing its carbon footprint by 26 per cent, water consumption by 40 per cent and waste to landfill to below 20 per cent, against the 2006 baseline.
The “Making Customers’ Lives Easier” award was presented to George Reid, Facilities Manager, for his work for Three. Sean Jones, Head of Property and Facilities (Corporate), Three UK, commented on George Reid’s award: “We use a phrase ‘feels like Three’ quite often in our business to say when something feels right or aligns to our brand, and George Reid’s customers regularly say to me how working with George ‘feels like Three’.”
Keith Chanter summarised the evening’s ceremony: “For the eighth consecutive year we’re proud to recognise EMCOR UK’s exceptionally skilled and talented individuals who ensure the highest level of delivery of excellent customer service at their workplace every day.
