The entire construction phase of 30 Gresham Street, a 36,000 square metre commercial development spanning 10 office floors and three retails units, took just 72 weeks, including commissioning. EMCOR was responsible for design, co-ordination and installation of the Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health services and delivered innovative solutions on time in partnership with Sir Robert McAlpine. To meet the fast-track programme EMCOR developed a prefabrication strategy, which included the use of pipe racks to serve the ceiling mounted Fan Coil Units and also vertical riser modules. The modules, which included a mechanical plant, were craned into riser shafts two-storey sections.
