SCOPE OF WORK

In the first Private Finance Initiative (PFI) linking a number of schools in a single scheme, EMCOR Facilities Services was awarded the contract to provide full facilities management services across five sites with 1,800 students in Peacehaven, East Sussex.

The scope of services includes:

• Fire and security
• Cleaning
• Reception
• Mail
• Catering and vending
• Porterage
• Grounds maintenance
• Office equipment
• IT
• Environmental services
• Technical services

BACKGROUND

We are responsible for the heating and lighting systems at the school, as well as providing buildings and grounds maintenance, security, cleaning and on-site catering. A major part of the contract is the design, supply and maintenance of the IT systems for the school. This includes installing hardware, setting up software, providing secure email, internet access and networking for all five schools.

OBJECTIVES

• The brief was to create and operate an environment that would stimulate education and development while delivering an enjoyable place to work.
• Our prime objective was to work in partnership with all members of the team and ensure the services provided met the expectation of students, staff and visitors.
