BACKGROUND

Following the successful completion of both the City Space and City Studio schemes, the Sciences Complex is the third project successfully delivered by Morgan Sindall and EMCOR Engineering Services for the University of Sunderland as part of their ongoing campus redevelopment.

OBJECTIVES

The Sciences Complex was run as a ‘Perfect Delivery’ project by the Principal Contractor and all specialist contractors used the four cornerstones; ‘On Time’, ‘Delighted Client’, ‘Snag Free’ and ‘completed O&M Manuals’, to focus and drive the project to its successful conclusion.

SOLUTIONS

Following the successful completion of the Campus City Space project, EMCOR Engineering Services were re-employed to work closely with both the universities and main contractors design and construction teams at a very early stage. This aided in ensuring that both the cost plan and design were managed robustly and that the very challenging build programme was met.

The client expressed their delight with the installation which can be seen on our Customer Care Reports.

“Its been a great team and we wouldn’t be where we are today without you.”

-Keith Porter, Project Manager, Morgan Sindall

“You worked very well, if it wasn’t for your team being so proactive we wouldn’t be where we are now.”

-Martin Shaw, Project Manager, University of Sunderland
